Hey I guess I can let the cat out of the bag so to speak as its now available as a press release click on the link and you shall magically find out what the filming over the summer at Dorney was about,

http://news.turner.com/article_print.cf ... le_id=4654

Excerpt from said article,

Head of Security for an Amusement Park: Dan Hall of Dorney Park in Allentown, Penn.
Dan Hall is Dorney Park’s head of security. His job consists of looking after the park’s 20,000 visitors a day. He patrols on foot looking for people who are not following the park’s rules. Preventing people from cutting in line, dealing with drunk patrons and breaking up fights are all in a day’s work for Dan. Over the course of a three-month summer season, he will eject over 500 people from the park and deal with thousands of irate and unhappy visitors.

According to Tru Tv's site the show premiers on Mon Oct 19 at 9pm Eastern

I'm sure one of the nuisances they created was to attract even more attention to the situations they were there to film. Things that make great reality TV are the types of things that draw spectators anyway. Put a camera crew there who's being dispatched to the situation along with the officers invites even more guests to follow along, making the crowds around these things bigger. That's what I saw firsthand when I went to the park last summer as a guest and DPP was responding to a call in the Talon queue. About 20-30 additional guests were following the crew when they arrived on scene.

Dealing with incidents comes with the territory, but dealing with a camera crew and the additional attention adds to it, in what I'm sure was a negative way. I'm sure it was handled the best way possible by the everyone present, but it certainly didn't make things easier.

Thanks for posting that. I didn't see the premiere episode of this series, as I was preoccupied with the Phils on Monday night. Glad to see that a larger segment is in the offing for this week.

I had taped it since people on another site said the Dorney episode was this past Monday and I didn't want to miss it either since I was also watching the Phillies game but it was other episodes. Good to hear it is on this Monday so I'll be ready and hopefully there will be a World Series game too (with the Phillies in it)

I've seen the first two episodes, and neither has had any mention of Dorney Park, besides a 2 second clip in a commercial. You haven't missed anything yet.

I am really digging that tall dude that owns the repo place. He's a trip and he is fun to watch as he physically ejects people from the shop who are being belligerent. Great show!
