Oh and Im soooo sure you have one sitting in your house right? Thats what I thought. The condition the poster is in has to do with the fact that its been rolled up for over 10 years. Its still in decent enuf shape to be worth something. Rare memorabilia like this is hard to come by so when it does come along you have to act fast and I did, it'll be my poster in a few days. Also, I would certainly scan the poster in for you guys........only one problem, I have no scanner. If theres a way I can get it onto the net Ill let ya know.

Edit: I do have a webcam though, I might be able to take a pic of it with that. If the photo comes out good enough ill send it to you.

ebay item

Postby rwk » Wed Jan 14, 2004 11:11 pm

About a year ago the guy who was selling all the dorney brochures from different years put up a rare blueprint of the pirate's cove dark ride, and another of bucket o' blood (same ride-burned 1983) showing changes made in 1975. They both sold for rediculous prices, the pirate $200 and I won the bucket one but the final price was $179, and I couldn't afford it and the seller blocked me. I hate bidding wars on ebay over a rare item.

All of you seem to have some great historical Dorney Park items. We would be greatful if you could scan them or take pictures of them and submit them to the site. You will be credited.

Dang! I figured that these would have some value, but nothing like this.

I picked one up at PPP this year, and it appears to be in much better shape than that one.

I don't want to say what I paid for it because you'll probably get sick.

How did u get one of those at PPP?

Edit: And why wouldn't you think this poster would be worth value? You think many people have one? Probably not. The fact that the coaster is now defucnt also adds value. My aunt collects these silly ceramic rabbits, who would ever think THEY'D be worth money, but they are. You never know what is worth something.

During the day at PPP there is a swap meet, and I'm assuming one of the vendors must have had one. Come to think of it, I think I remember seeing it... too bad I had no money with me :? .

I definitely believe that the poster will and does have value. That vendor at PPP also had a few Dorney park maps, one from Herc's opening year - I should have picked that up too :( .

Right now, my poster is laid flat on my pool table patiently waiting for a frame.
