Such a joke.DP can't really loose. They added nothing this year. The advertized fireworks that they know at best will be likely whitteled down to weekends...or a few weekends..if any at all. Genious.

Watch for the new MEGA Coaster next year....lets raises pass prices more too! Oh wait, the proposed coaster exceeds legal limits..and is so nosiy its got neighbors in a tizzy...guess we can't build it...pure geneious....

South Whitehall zoners say "no" to Dorney Park's plan for nightly fireworks this summer. Residents who opposed the plan applauded.

Hopefully they didn't already buy the fireworks and can put the money towards a new ride for next year.

NO DP won. I doubt they had the fireworks..they knew there was no way this would go thru nightly. So, bottom line, prices are up and NOTHING new is at the park....like I said earlier...genious!

Things have been quiet with the neighbors for quite some time, I suppose the park was due to deal with them again. It's a shame, not because I'm some firework fanatic but because extending guest stay (increasing in park spending) is something that certainly helps when new rides and attractions are considered.

Especially because I'm not getting much of sense of what Mr. Ouimet thinks of the park, specifically. We haven't had a "year off" in a looong time, so that makes me think great stuff is planned (a rethinking of the 5 years plan that was in place, perhaps) or something less encouraging entirely. It is also quite strange that they purchased that extra land and haven't touched it yet. It's not even mowed right now.

Much like last year at this time there's really no sign of anything going on at the park, and you can be sure that 2014 capital is pretty much planned already on corporate's end.

I've heard that WWK is gonna be the focus of next year. They didn't get an attraction this year for Dorney cause they are saving up to do many things in one year for the water park. Seems to make sense since WWK hasn't been touched since AuqaRacer in 2007 and it always has the upper hand on the ride side when it is hot out.

A new addition to WWK would be good, I just hope nothing is removed although I could see the Speed Slides going since they seem to be the least popular slides and are sometimes closed during slower days (both times I have been to WWK this year they were closed the entire time I was there one day and closed most of the time the other day).

So I had the chance to go to the Season Pass preview night of All Wheel Sports... I have to say it was surprisingly really good. I highly suggest stopping at the Good Time Theatre to watch the show at some point. Much better than the ice show.

I thought the show was a really solid addition. The indoor setting is such a big plus in my book. I only saw it once and was distracted taking photos, I will return for sure to see it again and be able to pay full attention. I would suggest checking it out.

A not so good change was made to the lockers. For the past couple of years it was $17 for a small locker and then you get $4 cash back when you return the key, $15 for small lockers for a passholder then $4 cash back with the key return.

Now for non passholders it is $20 and for passholders it is $15 but instead of getting $4 cash back, you now get a $5 gift card. I'm really hoping they can be used for next year's season pass because I'm not interested in buying any souvenirs and never buy food in the park. I guess this is there way of forcing you to spend more money in the park.

I also saw a season pass is up to $124.99.

wow, $125 bucks for a few unique rides and some recycled ones. (granted Possessed is my favorite coaster there)

Something has to be done with Dorney, and soon. Because they arent going to keep up with the competition at this rate.
