Thank you for your invaluable reply to my post. Please accept my apology for not realizing that in the past 284 days (282 days at the time of your reply) that you have been a contributing member to this forum, you must be tired of hearing me say this once. Maybe if you would go back and read the last 1,667 days worth of posts, you will find that I am typically the first to defend DP, their decisions, and their overall value. In fact, I had just defended the value of the pass for the start of the 2013 season when others questioned it or insinuated that it may have become "too expensive".

I greatly appreciate your offer of mailing me a $20 bill. Perhaps I would have taken you up on this offer if I were in a tough financial spot but, I cannot accept with good conscience because that is not the case.

To the general audience of DPO, I am sorry for making a post about my thoughts and feelings. In the future I will make sure to clear my prospective posts with MarinersMunchies, prior to posting them.
2015... My year off from Dorney. C'mon Cedar Fair, you are losing me...

It is nice to see that Cedar Fair has been investing in general park upgrades at their parks this year, granted that this locker upgrade is probably mostly revenue driven. Though, of course, we do not go to any amusement park for the lockers, it does make the visits to the park much nicer when such amenities are being kept up to date. It is hart-warming to read that Dorney is planning on more general improvements for next year, hopefully though, they will improve items that I actually use.

Speaking of general improvements, has anyone else read about all the changes King's Dominion is making next year to celebrate their 40th? They're doing all kinds of renaming, retheming, and restorations to return a lot of the "charm" elements the park used to have. Similarly, King's Island is refurbishing the Flight Deck coaster to resurrect the nostalgic "Bat" name.

I really hope we see projects like this in the coming years at Dorney to return some character and charm to the park. There are so many things I can think of...

They could start with returning the fountains in front of Apollo and Sea Dragon back to service. Repaint Thunderhawk and bring back the old running lights. I could come up with a hundred things...

Amen to that Kozmo...especially the last two. Thunderhawk has seemingly become a forgotten entity in the park. I hate to put it this way, but the way that the thing has been virtually ignored (at least in outward appearance) makes it seem like they don't really care about the ride or its history. Both should be celebrated...after all these years and all the changes around it, the ride deserves better.

I couldn't help but notice today, the ticket prices for 2014 seem to have gone up online. According to the website, a daily ticket purchased now online is $42.99, as opposed to the $39.99 price last year. Could this also mean higher prices at the gate? Hmmmm...

Looks like land clearing is going on in the area of the new slides. Really hope they dump some cash into sprucing up island waterworks. Looks like shitty balls.

That was a smart move... A lot of little kids really like to go to Dinosaurs Alive, and the extra $5 per visit (or $12 for the season) per person being waived this year starts to show some families that the park does appreciate their business...

Also NEW for 2014:
All Day Dining Plan

With the All Day Dining Plan, you'll never go hungry, but you'll save a bundle. Enjoy an entree and a side every time you choose to stop in at one of the participating restaurants inside the park. Best of all, there's only a 90-minute wait time between meals. Stay fueled for the fun with the All Day Dining Plan.

Looks like they are giving Aquablast a little tlc....i doubt removing the entire onboarding section is part of the regular yearly maintenance.

A new stash of photos of the snake pit has been dumped on Dorney's facebook https://www.facebook.com/dorneypark/photos/a.10152194021566788.1073741837.107234641787/10152311160271788/?type=1&theater.
It seems that there will be translucent rings on what I believe is one of the Boa Blasters. (I must say that I am very impressed, hopefully the park will maintain it correctly and it will look good five years from now...)
What I am stunned by is the two pictures of aquablast. The entire structure holding the onboarding area either has been stripped of paint or entirely replaced (probably the former, does anyone know for sure?) There are now two sets of steps running up the tower, rather then one that split (hopefully for more queue area, if this is for some sort of skip the line system, I probably will cry). Hopefully they did something to raise capacity, though I have no idea if that's possible. Half of the lift that carries up the tubes is also missing.
