Looks like Haunt starts a week later with what was the first weekend of Haunt 2014 being a buyout I guess because Labor Day is so late this year with daily operations until September 7th. In addition to no Haunt on Sunday except Columbus Day weekend, it looks like they are closing at 7 instead of 8. I can understand why since I have been there on some Sunday non Haunt nights in the fall when the park had no one there the last couple hours the park was open. A couple of years ago I left the park right after closing and at 8:15, there were around 15 cars in the lot.

One thing I noticed was that opening day is only open to 8pm and there might be one Sunday Haunt on the 11th since there are open to 11pm

I wonder why the park is open until 11 PM on only seven rather eight Saturday nights in July/August. The only Saturday I went last summer I arrived around 6 PM and the park was crowded. Not only was the new overflow parking was in use, but cars were parked across Dorney Park Road. It was still busier than the average weekday all the way until closing.

I am also disappointed that the park is still only open until 8 PM four weekdays in the last week of August. It is my experience that the park is usually very busy that week.

I am very happy to see the extended hours in May. But why is opening day being discriminated against?

As far as the water park hours go, I wish it was open until 7 PM for more of June and until 8 PM for more of July/August. I prefer the evening hours in the water park because it is less crowded, no need to sunscreen/ no sunburn, and the water is warmer. I guess I am a little spoiled considering Kings Dominion's water park does not open until Noon (as of last season, they have not posted this season's water park schedule as of this posting).

I liked the midnight closings on Saturdays, I guess attendance dropped or they have staffing problems because I don't know why they would close earlier. I think the park still needs a lightshow, or something to keep the guests later.

forgive me but value of the pass is at an all time low unless the park is new for you. They really would likely make more money if they dropped the pass price by $40. Expectations would be lower and folks would find more value and reason to get a pass or make a visit or multiple visits. Sorry but I keep an eye out and it just feels like nothing new is really ever added..rides are removed, hours /days are decreased etc. Even the haunt is loosing Sundays...you don't do that if its your bread winner. I predict attendance will down at the haunt as I suspect its getting old...been there done that kind of thing.

Go ahead start yelling at me but looks thats what I see.

I think its time to re-focus on the park, rides and more reasonable pricing.
