Haunt 2015

I was wondering what people thought about haunt this year.
Personally, the thing I like the least this year is how short Cornstalkers is compared to the two haunts it replaced. The new location has a lot more space and potential.
I find it interesting that Carnevil is being moved this week down the midway to the area near the tilt-a-whirl. It seems odd that such a change would happen mid-season.

Maybe because in the former location it was impossible to avoid to get through the park and they want to give people a chance to avoid all the scare zones if they want?

From the people I talked to, it sounded like they did not like how the scare zone was put on hold three times a night for the show.

Line I was in moved so slow yesterday for the Wax Museum Haunt. Took about 40 minutes to move down and back the queue to the entrance. Fright Lane I think played a big role in that.

I was at the park this afternoon and wanted to ride Thunderhawk one last time for the season. Last time I rode 2nd row and it was pretty rough. This time I rode front seat and it was smooth and fast - maybe the best I've had all season!

I just wanted to point that out for you all BUT you MUST ride the very front cause I could tell the rest the train behind me was shaking and shimmying the whole course.

I must say that I am quite impressed by the show quality this year. I was at Kings Dominion last week, and their version of Blood Drums was way too quite. All the drumming was being drowned out by the recorded track. I like how at Dorney, the percussion can be heard quite clearly on the other side of burger barn.
I do like the additions made to the skeleton crew show a lot. Adding in a fifth act and the enhancement to the second act turned a decent show into a great show.

Thunderhawk is by far the best in the front seat, both airtime and vibration wise. The trains boogies probably need some work. Hopefully the park will send the trains to Hatfield for an overhaul. The solenoids could use a little alignment anyway. If they do ship it out, maybe the park could have PTC remove the seat belts and head restraints. (I really should just be thankful that the ride still runs with buzz bars under Cedar Fair.)

A rumor for 2016 was that Thunderhawk might get new trains for 2016 with the individual lap bars rather than buzz bars. I hope it's not true especially because we just lost Rolling Thunder a couple of years ago also with buzz bars.

i LOVED haunt this year. My favorite was chamber of horrors again and cornstalkers was in second. the combination of cornstalkers and bloodshed was a great idead but it was shorter than i expected. i love trick or treat also but it didnt make my top 3. and i think they should more skelten crew to a different location maybe at coasters band stand?

This rumor was confirmed during coaster madness.
