Laser's Supports

Postby raptor6 » Tue Jul 15, 2003 10:37 pm

My last trip I noticed several of Laser's supports seem bent / damaged at their base. Wonder how long they have been like that. The place I looked was from the exit bridge looking back. Here is the picture: ... Picture=19 , If you look at the rectangle purple base, an example is the 4th support from the right on the rectangle - the spot where the angle meets the base of the support. The picture shows it but seeing it in person is much better to illustrate it.

I don't see anything wrong in that picture but I am sure if the supports were really bent or damaged, Dorney Park would fix them.

I agree that if Dorney thougth they were bad they would immediately replace them. I just thought it was interesting to see that several of the supports are warped / bent near their base. Guess you have to see it in person to see my point, sorry.

The Laser supports are just like that. They are made for that angle due to the sharp angles the coaster track is lade out.

This will be my last post on this topic! ha ha ha I guess I am making this confusing or something. Randydorney - the sharp angles of the supports / base is not what I'm talking about, it is at the sharp angles where you can see that several, not all, of the supports have been warped. You really must see it in person to see what I am talking about.

The only thing warped is your brain. Those supports are suppose to look like that. They wouldn't pass PA safety regulations if the ride was unsafe.
