I believe that was Mill Chute/Journey to the Center of the Earth... it wasn't really a log flume, but a mill chute ride. In the beginning of the ride, boats meander in dark tunnels, then come to the big hill and splashdown. They are often considered like tunnels of love, until Dorney rethemed it to Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Absolutly correct. I've seen photos of them tearing down the ride. But im not sure when. It was pre-steel force construction. O well. Ill make more if i find time to do it.

Journey to the center of the earth was a chute the chutes ride. It started off as a tunnel of love in the early 1900's but was later changed and rethemed to a dark ride in the 60's called Jouney to the Center of the Earth. The tunnel had creepy sound effects and little robotic displays that showcased scenes of goblins, ghosts, elves, and all that scary stuff. When you came out of the tunnel at the end, you climbed a small lift and plummeted down into the water below. You didn't get very wet. I used to love it as a kid and was sad to see that Cedar Fair had dismantled it. I believe the last year for it was 1992 or 1993. It was one of the many "soulful" rides that gave Dorney Park its character and charm. Unfortunately, many of these rides are long gone. I, fortunately, at 21 years old am old enough to remember these rides. Not too sure if many of you here are old enough to remember.

nope, im 16, and i think my first trip to Dorney Park was in 93, and i don't recall seeing it. So maybe it was the winter of 92 that they took it down since Cedar Fair took over dorney its first year.

No, the correct answer is: Swan Boats, Journey to the Center of the Earth. There once was a lake bed near Steel Force, (Former Location:Sky Grove,Catering grove.)

Since the construction of Steel Force in 1996-97, they drained the lake and put lots of dirt to fill it up. Now, it's an overfill parking lot when Dorney Park 2 main parking lots is filled up to its compacity limitations.

(3 defunct and 1 SBNO)
1. Flying Dutchman
2. Wild Mouse (1960s)
3. Kiddie Coaster
4. Hercules
