^ Actually, the SLC was named Thunderhawk when it was at GL. Dominator was also Dominatior at GL. And if you look at the Roller Coaster Data Base both of those were added before Ceder Fair bought the park. So I would not blame them for that, however, CF could have re-named them but I guess they decided not to.

And deciding not to is the biggest blow to creativity you can get.

So... their Dominator came in 2000 when Six Flags took over the park...
When did ours come? Did Cedar Fair actually take the name from Six Flags?
*insert dramatic music here* Scandalous.

Uh, before Cedar Fair bought Geauga Lake, Dominator was called Batman: Knight Flight and Thunderhawk was Serial Thriller. Both were renamed when Cedar Fair bought the park by stealing the names from Dorney's rides as a quick fix rather than being creative and coming up with something new.

It all makes so much more sense, now. Thanks, dptalon. :] I still like Knight Flight for a name, I find it to be aesthetically pleasing.

The worst CF name change is changing the Drop Zone Stunt Tower names to Drop Tower. That is probably the most boring name they can give it.

Isn't it Drop Tower: Stunt Zone? It's like they threw the words in a bag and picked out a new order.

It doesn't matter. The lack of creativity has been established.

"ThunderHawk" is a trademarked name of Cedar Fair...it has the "TM" logo after it on the Dorney map. hence, they need to recycle it as much as possible to capitalize on their name

I know that cloning names is lameo but I always felt sorta oddly proud that they started using names from Dorney rides at other parks, and then took the Wildwater Kingdom name as well to use.

Weird, but I felt like it gave the park even more cred in the organization.

But now I sorta have been jaded and just feel like they were too lazy to pay for anyone inside the company or out to create new names and logos.

No, Dominator was Batman Knight Flight and Thunderhawk was Serial Thriller before Cedar Fair bought the park.

Did Kings Island have their winter tour yet? I am super excited to hear about the coaster! B&M Hypers are my favorite! :D
