Astroland at Coney Island Closes

Article says the bumper cars are for sale for $200k.

No price quoted for Dante's Inferno.

I actually just posted a scan of an Astroland brochure. The park's rides are all for sale on this page also. Looks like Dante's Inferno is $225,000.

I hope the situation gets worked out somehow, I'm not sure that this "final" closure announcement is really final, but then again maybe it is? It's confusing with the game playing...

I have never been here but its a shame. I would be so upset if a park I loved closed. Maybe Dorney, Hershey, or other park around here will purchase some of the rides if it becomes offical.

Those real bumper cars look nice for Dorney

I never went to Astroland despite being in NYC a few times over the past few years. One it is expensive, and more importantly I have heard from multiple people the area is horrible and how if you stroll more than a little bit away from the boardwalk, you are asking for trouble. Not the type of place I want to go to.
