Whale boats!

Postby C Trumbore » Wed Feb 13, 2013 6:32 pm

Spotted.. a whale boat. 2, actually.

At a tree farm outside of Emmaus, spotted two whale boats this year while buying a Christmas tree. Asked staff, and yes, they are the real deal. Purchased by the farm owners when Dorney sold them off, they ran them on their pond there for a while, now collecting pine needles, upside down in the treeline. :)

Where was that at? I'll go buy those in a heartbeat. The WhaleBoats was the first ride I operated when I started working there. Let me know if you would.

It's called Tranquility Farms and it's just outside of Vera Cruz.

We bought our tree at Tranquility Farms the last three seasons....really nice place. I saw those boats at the edgeof the parking lot on each visit and it never once registered. Awesome find.

I got my beloved cat, Wolfgang, from Tranquility Farms. They had a whole extended family of long-haired cats, from cream colored to dark orange, and all shades in between. She'd place ads for them whenever there was a new litter. He died unexpectedly 5 years ago, sadly. I called them to see if they had a great-niece or grand-nephew I could adopt, but by then the momma was too old to have kittens anymore. I had a pretend pedigree name for him, Wolfgang von Tannenbaum of Tranquility, to reflect his origins on a Christmas tree farm. But he was just a plain ol' farm cat!
The Original Hercules Operator (back when it was awesome). Ho!
