HAUNTVII

I know it is a little early, considering that the 2014 season has not started yet, but I figured this was a good time while the forum has a flurry of activity. It seems like the new GM, Mike Fehnel, is not wasting any time to do a few changes. He also seems to like to drop teasers. A few days ago he dropped this one:

Interesting...Hopefully they move Psycho Circus into a scarezone this year like they do at other parks. From there I wonder if they'd put a new house into the arcade.

I heard rumors at the end of last year that Psycho Circus is gonna be replaced this year. That's what I heard.

An email was sent out today to all HAUNT employees from last year with mention of "new exciting improvements this season!"

I really hope these changes over the next few years emphasizes quality over quantity. Its clear to see they hire the same amount of monsters every year, around 200-300. Instead of having 10+ attractions, I think they would have more success having around 5-6 lengthy and detailed mazes and 2-3 larger and well-themed scare zones. Having less mazes would mean longer lines but more monsters in the mazes and I think a better overall experience. Has anyone heard about the future of Cut Throat Island? It has the best props in the park, but is so hard to execute as a scare zone because of its corner location. Its so easy to just pass without getting a good scare.

I hope the same, I mean they started doing that last year by getting rid of Death Trap to make Age of Darkness better. Hopefully they continue with that. I've been working HAUNT for a few years and I've never heard anything about improving Cut Throat Island. I think it was better when it went through the old Camp Snoopy though. I'm hoping Psycho Circus will be on it's way out though, like the rumors say. Imo, it was the worst attraction, unless you're terrified of clowns. But it doesn't appeal to everyone like the other attractions do.

EDIT: I have just received some more info on HAUNT VII...lets just say it's the biggest update since Desolation.

Dorney will axe one attraction this year and add 3 new ones! The new attractions will be announced near the end of August/ beginning of September. This will be the biggest update since 2011!
