Wave pools restricted

Postby jscll » Wed Aug 20, 2014 1:19 pm

Since about the beginning of July, both of the wave pool's ropes have been moved from the six foot mark to the five foot mark. Does anyone Know why the park did this change? Most of the water park employes I have asked either did not know or did not want to give a reason.

A couple of lifeguards said that when it is crowded, they can not see the bottom. This explanation does not quite make sense to me because by closing the 5-6 foot section of pool, this often makes the 4-5 foot section of pool quite crowded.

The last death there was 1994 when they were overcrowded and couldn't see that poor kid at the bottom. So I would rather be overcautious.

But 1 ft I don't get really.

When the death occurred in 1994, I think it was a lot deeper then. (Unless Im wrong, I could be, Im wrong a lot.)

It was deeper, about 10 ft.

That's what I thought.

I think they are super over cautious when its busy. Take it as a sign of them looking out for customers.
