So what is the situation with approval? I thought they had an agreement with the township that they didn't have to keep going back if the new attraction followed certain guidelines for height and sound. This was to help with getting early approval. I remember seeing the map with height and sound restrictions for all areas of the park. Is that no longer being used? Is this family attraction requiring a variance? If we are getting the Flyers that everyone expects, I can see no reason for a problem with the township. Are we maybe getting something different?

I wish I knew. All they told us was that they were awaiting approval, wouldn't go any further.

Well, if we WERE simply just getting flyers, that wouldnt need such a big approval.
On the other hand,
If the disko/midway revamp is in the works, than Id say yea maybe its possible the township would have to really think it over. Because A complete overhaul would add to the noise levels alot more than a simple flyer located all alone in the way back.

Anyword on Stinker?

When I rode Zephyr during the first weekend of Haunt, the ride op narrating when the train went by the coaster said that they were waiting for a part for the ride and it will be open next year.

Yes, Brad did talk about Stinger. He said that, "it had a mechanical failure on the first day, and when they tried to repair it, they kept finding other mechanical issues that needed to be corrected and it ended up taking all season to fix" He confirmed however that it will reopen next season

Dorney is not listed on the agenda for the October Planning or Zoning meetings; hopefully they will show up in November. Weird that they mentioned needing approval, as they obtained that zoning agreement years back that was to avoid going to the Township for every new ride. Makes me think it is something along the creek perhaps, I think there were a new set of regulations instituted that affected that area. I wouldn't imagine it has to do with any ride height.

Could be wrong, though.

Something along the creek would be nice. Is that where the boats used to be? (I was not there when they were there).
