I'm not sad to see it go, hopefully this means a new coaster for 2019.

Well that’s a surprise. Fingers crossed for a GCI through the woods.

That would be great, I remember the rumors of a GCI for 2008 and have been waiting for it to happen. On some other boards, some people think we might get Kanonen or an RMC Raptor in the spot. Those would be ok too (except the capacity on the Raptor is horrible) but I'd rather have the GCI.

doubt any new coaster is coming. doubt anything will be put in its place.
:(

perhaps some other old 80's ride is floating around their boneyard somewhere - a trambant, paratrooper? Wouldn't bring back a classic dark ride be cool...

I wouldn't mind seeing a dark ride. When I go to Hershey, Knoebels and Great Adventure, I rarely skip them (and at Great Adventure, I try to ride Justice League Battle for Metropolis at least a few times each visit).

Hopefully there is a coaster added soon. Now Possessed is the most recent coaster addition and that was 10 years ago. It's frustrating that some parks in the chain like Dorney, Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun all haven't gotten a new coaster in 10 or 11 years and then there are parks in the chain that get a new coaster every 2 - 3 years and many of them being $20+ million coasters. I understand that the larger parks like Cedar Point, Kings Island and Canada's Wonderland should get larger investments compared to some of the smaller parks but not to the point that the smaller parks get almost nothing. I like Six Flags' approach better. Every park in the chain gets something new each year while the larger parks still get major additions more frequently.

Terrible decision. if they were going to remove a coaster, it should have been Possessed. It is slower now, the stop brake no longer works, and it's never busy. Stinger is actually not that bad of a ride, and is pretty busy compared to other rides in the park. Every year we get nothing, so now the company owes us at least 3 rides in 2019, though I doubt we'd even get 1.

Actually Dorneyman27, Possessed is very popular with the guest! Yes a lot of people were little mad about the brake not working but in my opinion the ride is so much better without the brake and there is never a line bc it only a 1 min ride with 28 seats and pretty good crew that work fast.

I heard the brake was turned off because of the amount of power it used. I don't know if that is true or not but I liked the ride better with it being used but am glad they are keeping Possessed over Stinger. At least when riding Possessed, I don't have to worry about being stuck for 90+ minutes.
